Anti-Wrinkle Injections

Anti-wrinkle injections are one of our most popular cosmetic procedures for patients of all ages and skin types. Anti-wrinkle injections are made up of naturally occurring plant proteins that when injected into muscles blocks nerve signals and make it unable to contract as tightly, causing wrinkles to temporarily relax and soften. This treatment is used to soften the action and reduce the tone of the muscles of facial expression which cause wrinkles.

Anti-wrinkle injection treatments have been used medically for over 30 years, and here at Southface Skin Clinic we anti-wrinkle treatment, to temporarily cause muscles to relax and prevent wrinkles.

We have younger patients coming for anti-wrinkle treatment to prevent the wrinkles, as well as patients coming to target a specific area they are concerned about. The most commonly treated areas are frown lines between the eyebrows, crow’s feet around the eyes and the lines that form across the forehead. It is a safe treatment that has been used by millions of people.

Our anti-wrinkle injections are very successful with just a single injection. Depending on the skin type, the results can last from 3-5 months. Some patients do have very powerful muscles and therefore may require more than a single treatment to relax the muscle in this area. A top-up treatment should help weaken this muscle further. The full effect of the treatment can be seen within 14 days. Patients that have regular treatments find that the effects may last longer with subsequent treatments.
