Eczema

Eczema (or dermatitis) is the name for a group of conditions which cause the skin to become red, inflamed and itchy. There are several types of eczema: atopic dermatitis, contact dermatitis, dyshidrotic eczema, nummular eczema, seborrheic dermatitis and stasis dermatitis. Different types of eczema have different causes and treatments. Sometimes eczema is referred to by the area affected (e.g. hand eczema). However, more than one type of eczema can affect the same area of the body.
