Your skin health matters – and early detection can make all the difference. That’s why Southface Skin and Dermatology Clinic is hosting a Free Mole Check Event on Saturday 30th May.
This dedicated screening day is designed to raise awareness around skin cancer prevention and give you the opportunity to have any concerning moles or lesions assessed by our experienced dermatology team.
Why Mole Checks Are Important
Skin cancer is one of the most common types of cancer in the UK, but when detected early, it is highly treatable. Regular mole checks help identify any unusual or changing lesions that may require further investigation.
You should consider having a mole assessed if you notice:
- Changes in size, shape or colour
- Irregular or uneven borders
- Itching, bleeding or crusting
- A mole that looks different from others (the “ugly duckling” sign)
What to Expect
During your appointment, a clinician will carefully examine your mole using specialist equipment. If anything appears suspicious, we will advise you on the appropriate next steps and any further investigations if required. Please note that this is not a full skin check and only one mole of concern or one area of skin will be examined.
