Thread Vein Removal
Thread veins are tiny veins that appear most commonly on the cheeks, nose and legs. They do not typically present a health risk but can be embarrassing.
Broadband light (BBL)/Intense pulsed light (IPL) produces a gentle but intense burst of light. This light is absorbed by the red vein causing selective damage to the vessel with minimal damage to the surrounding tissue.
Depending on the number and the size of the red veins 2-5 treatments may be required to achieve the required result, however complete clearance is not always possible. In some cases when the vessels are over a certain diameter another type of laser called Nd:Yag will be required.
A thorough consultation and assessment will help determine which treatment is most suitable for you.
